The traps we catch before you upload

These are the failures that waste an evening: the upload "succeeds", and your listings come out wrong.

Shopify

  • A BOM in the file makes Shopify fail to recognise the Handle column — every row becomes a separate new product, with no error shown.
  • Image URLs ending in _thumb, _small or _medium are rejected.
  • Prices must be plain numbers — $19.99 or 19,99 will not parse.
  • We emit UTF-8, LF line endings, no BOM — the exact combination Shopify expects.

eBay

  • Titles longer than 80 characters get rejected or truncated.
  • ConditionID is required — missing it fails the row.
  • Item specifics must carry the C: prefix to be recognised.
  • Prices and quantities must be numeric, no currency symbols.

Etsy

  • A single tag longer than 20 characters fails the entire batch — not just that row.
  • Maximum 13 tags per listing; extras are dropped or rejected.
  • Titles capped at 140 characters.
  • Tags are comma-separated, not pipe-separated.

WooCommerce

  • Duplicate SKUs overwrite existing products silently.
  • Category hierarchies need the > separator (Apparel > Shirts).
  • Published flag and stock quantity must be integers.
  • Multiple images are comma-separated in one cell.

FAQ

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. The converter is pure JavaScript running in your browser tab — your products are never uploaded to any server, because there is no server. That is also why we can keep this cheap.

My headers are a mess. Will it still work?

Yes. We fuzzy-match common header names, so Product Name, title, Item Title and similar all map to the same field. If a required column genuinely cannot be found, we tell you exactly which one is missing instead of guessing.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Paste, convert, and if you want the file, check out. Your unlocked state is remembered in this browser.

What file formats can I paste?

Copy straight out of Excel, Google Sheets or a CSV/TSV file. We auto-detect whether the delimiter is a tab, comma or semicolon, and we handle quoted fields containing commas.

Which platforms do you support?

Shopify, eBay, Etsy and WooCommerce today. More exporters are being added under this same subscription.

What if it gets my file wrong?

Email us and we'll fix it or refund you. The free tier exists precisely so you can verify the output is right before paying anything.
